Calder Fountain Access Control Upgrade

Sector Social Housing
Service Mechanical & Electrical
Location Belfast

CFM was tasked with designing and installing a new door access control system for the Salvation Army's residency within the Radius-owned Calder Fountain Building. The previous system had exceeded its economic lifespan and no longer met the operational requirements of the staff.

Scope of Work:

CFM installed approximately 50 new wireless door handle sets and 10 wired transmitters across five floors of the building.

A new database of users for the building was created, ensuring seamless control and access.

The Paxton Net 10 system was selected due to its flexibility and ease of use, making it ideal for buildings with multiple occupants and high turnover.

Staff Training: CFM provided comprehensive training to the staff, ensuring they were self-sufficient in programming the system and troubleshooting minor issues, allowing for efficient daily operations.

This modernised system improves security and ease of access, enhancing the functionality of the residency.
