In 2023, CFM was awarded the Maintenance and Improvement Contract by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) for the Mid and East Antrim areas, which includes Ballymena, Larne, and Carrickfergus. The contract spans an initial two-year period, with the option for an extension of up to six months.
As a key social landlord in Northern Ireland, the NIHE manages a housing stock of approximately 86,000 properties across the region. Under this contract, CFM is responsible for providing maintenance and improvement services to over 7,000 properties, covering a diverse portfolio that includes domestic homes, hostels, garages, commercial spaces, offices, blocks, and high-rise buildings.
The range of works delivered through this contract is extensive and includes building, mechanical, and electrical maintenance, along with responsive repair services. It also incorporates a 24/7/365 emergency response capability, cyclical servicing, adaptations for individuals with disabilities, change-of-tenancy preparations, planned improvement projects, asbestos removal, and civil engineering works.
Performance under this contract is governed by a strict set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure high-quality delivery. Additionally, the contract emphasizes adherence to detailed social clauses and corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitments, fostering positive impacts within the local communities it serves.
