For the past few weeks, CFM have been holding a series of company wide Business Stakeholder Engagement events across each of our sites.
These events reflected on the successes of 2019, with key themes including trust, leadership and business improvements. The aim of the events was to align our focus and help us strategically prepare for the year ahead, continuing to develop, evolve and improve individually & collectively.
With another key theme of this event focusing on our Health & Wellbeing, at each event, we were delighted to welcome Ray Cunningham from MYMY “Mind Your Mate & Yourself” who are a charity that work with local communities supporting families on elements of physical and mental wellbeing.
This talk from Ray fell in line with ‘Time to Talk Day 2020’ where Ray encouraged our staff to open up, and have that conversation with a colleague, or a friend. He encouraged our staff to be more open about mental health – to talk, to listen and to help each other out.
Another key theme we took away from Rays talk was to ‘be kinder’. The way we speak about others, can have major implications on the wellbeing of others.
In the inspirational words of late Caroline Flack “In a world where you can be anything, be kind”.
This is a theme we must encourage across the business.
