Over the last 40+ years, Combined Facilities Management has cultivated a strong and positive reputation based on quality and integrity. These principles have underpinned our approach from the company’s humble origins as a one man plumbing and heating business in 1974 to the present-day operation which employs over 200 personnel spread across 4 strategic locations in Derry, Omagh, Magherafelt and Castledawson.


Throughout the years, our aim has always been to deliver the highest possible standards of work, in full compliance with all applicable legislation and best practice. We pride ourselves on being able to provide one of the most effective 24/7/365 planned and reactive maintenance services available and which encompasses the full range of Building, Mechanical and Electrical services. This has enabled us to grow organically and develop long term working relationships with both public and private clients across key sectors including housing (social and private), Commercial, Industrial, Education, Healthcare and Insurance.

1974:

PE Keenan Plumbing & Heating was established

1977:

Social Housing contract with NIHE awarded for plumbing & heating of 180 new homes

1980:

Contract award for removal of towns gas and replacement of solid fuel heating to 450 homes

1988:

First term service mechanical maintenance contract awarded

1995:

Diversification from plumbing works via the award of minor building contract

1999:

Combined Facilities Management Ltd was established as new trading style to reflect diversification of service offering

2003:

Awarded Term Service EGAN All Trades contract to 7,500 properties, first of its kind in Northern Ireland

2009:

New work streams secured in Insurance and Private commerce sectors

2010:

Awarded 4 year construction contract for the building of disabled adaptation extensions

2012:

Opened two remote operational Depots in Newtownabbey and Omagh to service new contract wins

2015:

Achieved Investor In People accreditation for excellent People management

2016:

Awarded 10 year Maintenance and Improvement contracts to service 26,000 properties

2017:

Opened new head office and call centre in Magherafelt along with additional operational base in Derry City to service North West clients

2018:

Launched 2022 Strategic Business Plan & Vision

2019:

CFM had a very successful year with numerous award wins, including being awarded an International Green Apple, requalified as an Investors in People Company, gained our Gold Standard as a Deloitte Best Managed Company, won ‘Excellence in People Development’ at the Mid Ulster Business Awards, and won ‘UK Best Apprenticeship Scheme’ at the NHMF awards

2020:

CFM further expand FM and specialist M&E services offering following award of contract for NI’s largest housing association Radius covering 14,000 properties.

2021:

CFM open 5th Operational Base in Mallusk to service our new and existing clients in the Antrim and Greater Belfast Area.
