As a business, CFM is proud to boast a comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility strategy ‘Together’
Our ‘Together’ Strategy ensures that we are committed to behaving in an ethical and responsible manner and is founded on three distinct pillars: people, planet and place.
Social value is not just about how we provide social, economic and environmental benefits within the areas we work. Our approach to social value goes beyond the initial investment, and we work to provide long-term benefits and a lasting community legacy.
Our CSR Strategy ‘Together’ provides strategic direction that allows us to take responsibility for our efforts and contributions for improving the communities we serve, by actively engaging, promoting, and supporting our local communities, our people and the environment.
We ensure that all initiatives based around our three pillars are supported through a strong network of local partners and providers. This allows us to make the best use of established local networks and ensures direct benefits to the local community and its residents.
Our strategy ensures that we are proactive, responsible, and engaged.
PEOPLE
We ensure our initiatives support the communities we serve, providing employment opportunities, supporting our local schools and colleges, and assisting the most vulnerable.
PLANET
We work to ensure our infrastructure and processes reduce the environmental impact of our operations and help safeguard the future for generations
PLACE
We work to actively maintain a diverse programme of events including sponsorship, fundraising initiatives, and volunteering that benefit our local communities
Corporate Health and Wellbeing
CFM operates a robust Health & Wellbeing Strategy ‘RESTORE’ where we ensure that the health and wellbeing of our staff and extended supply chain is priority.
We recognise the need for a healthy, happy and well workforce to ensure we continue to remain productive and efficient.
Our strategy applies to all of CFM staff, our supply chain partners, and those in the local community, to provide guidance and support on all things wellbeing. Our strategy allows CFM to provide a safe and supportive working environment, in which everyone is empowered to actively engage in maintaining their own wellbeing. We recognise that health and wellbeing goes far beyond the traditional sense of just physical health. Our holistic approach is built on 5 key pillars of wellbeing: Health, Mind, Community, Work and Home. Each pillar is supported and driven by a dedicated champion who empowers engagement of staff, and helps maintain our wellbeing culture.
Our ‘RESTORE’ strategy is complimented by our bespoke wellbeing app, where our staff have access to toolkits for dealing with issues such as mental health, stress, healthy eating and financial wellbeing. It also serves as an engagement platform for driving company news and events.
Our strategy ensures that a wellbeing culture is maintained across the business.
HEALTH
We make it a priority that all of our staff are equipped with all the tools and information needed to ensure they actively maintain their own health
MIND
We put a key emphasis on wellbeing of the mind, ensuring our staff are educated on mental health, they know where they can get help, and who they can talk to
COMMUNITY
We ensure that we maintain the health and wellbeing of our extended supply chain. We engage actively with communities, charities and social enterprises.
WORK
We commit to safeguarding the health and safety of our staff, supply chain, customers and the public. We work to ensure effective controls are in place, staff are continually educated, and performance is monitored
HOME
We recognise the need for a work life balance. We ensure a holistic approach to wellbeing, where family life and wellbeing is incorporated in all we do. We promote a family ethos, encouraging a healthy work/life balance.
