As we undertake maintenance and construction works throughout the public and private sectors, we recognise that we have a responsibility to our workforce and the wider community and environment to ensure that our impact is a positive one both now and for future generations. This approach covers multiple aspects from the health and safety of our staff, clients and the general public through to engaging with the local communities where we deliver our services. We are also dedicated to behaving in a manner that will ensure the well-being and protection of our environment, from sourcing the most energy efficient materials and tools to ensuring the proper disposal of waste materials.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
CFM operate a Health and Safety Management System which is accredited to SafeTCert and CHAS standards. We understand that the foundation of an effective health and safety policy is based on the competence of our workforce, so we insist that all our employees and supply chain partners possess the necessary skills and training to undertake their roles in a manner which ensures their safety and that of those around them. As a minimum, this includes CSR, CSCS, CPCS and SafePass certification.
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
CFM operate an Environmental Management System which is accredited to ISO 14001:2004 standards. This demonstrates that we have in place certified policies and procedures which ensure every aspect of our operations and those of our supply chain partners are undertaken in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. We develop Site Waste Management Plans (SWMP’s) for every contract and rigorously enforce the segregation of waste on site to facilitate reuse and recycling.
