Last Week, our Managing Director Pat Keenan travelled to London to attend the Green Apple Awards hosted at the prestigious Houses of Parliament.

CFM have recently secured three new Planned Maintenance Works Contracts with our key client the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.

Last week we welcomed members from the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, the Central Housing Forum, Supporting Communities and NIHE tenant representatives to our Mid Ulster depot for a tour of our bespoke training facilities and an overview of our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, where we actively target and engage with the communities of which we service.

CFM have recently been awarded Accreditation against the Investors in People Standard 2019. Attending the celebration event last week at Belfast Castle, Paula Loughlin (Corporate Services Director) and Ciara O’Connor (HR & Accounts Administrator) were delighted to collect our accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to realising the full potential of our people.

Last month over 200 CFM staff and family members gathered at the Jungle NI for a day of family fun and adventure. 2019 is CFM’s 45th year in business and this was a great event for staff and families to come together to celebrate this milestone.

On Wednesday 25th September, National Fitness Day, CFM staff put their endurance to the test and underwent a spin-a-thon in aid of Aware NI.

CFM, in partnership with Apex Housing, have recently completed phase 2 of fit out and improvement works to Foyle Foodbank Social Enterprise Facility based in Springtown Derry City.

CFM have recently completed repairs to the historic library at Falls Road Belfast.

Following competitive tender CFM are delighted to have renewed our Mechanical Maintenance contract with the Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council, for both planned and reactive maintenance throughout the council’s estates.

Works have commenced at the Central Fire Station Belfast, where CFM are carrying out the installation of a new fire alarm system, suspended ceilings and lighting throughout.

In line with our “RESTORE” Health and Wellbeing Strategy, during ‘National Walking Month’ CFM employees were encouraged to walk for 20 minutes a day, to promote a healthy, active lifestyle contributing to their overall mental and physical wellbeing

CFM are delighted to be announced as a finalist in this year’s CEF Construction Excellence Awards.

CFM were recently appointed by the Mid Ulster District Council to undertake complex restoration works to a Grade B1 listed former railway ‘Goods Shed’ built c.1870 and which is now used as a storage warehouse.

Ten of our management team of recently qualified ‘Chartered Construction Managers’ attended their Chartered Institution of Building (CIOB) graduation on Saturday hosted by the Lord Mayor of Dublin in the beautiful surroundings of the Mansion House, Dublin.

CFM have recently been awarded a further contract with Apex Housing for oil to gas conversions to several of their commercial residential properties throughout the West.

CFM’s management team recently joined forces with David Meade’s ‘Give a Hand’ Programme, to partake in a team building exercise like no other. Our staff were given the opportunity to build real clinical prosthetic hands that are donated through this programme to needy individuals in the third world.

CFM have recently committed towards reducing plastic waste in the workplace and embracing the global movement towards reducing plastic ending up in our oceans.

CFM are delighted to have recently been appointed on “Fusion 21’s” Construction Works and Improvements Framework for Northern Ireland. Going live on April 1st, this framework offers a range of internal and external refurbishment and improvement works to public sector bodies.

CFM have recently been awarded a contract by the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) for refurbishment works to the Newtownhamiton Fire Station.

Apprentices from each of our operational depots recently visited our in-house training academy at our Mid Ulster depot to take part in an apprentice training day.

At our Head Office in Magherafelt we have remodelled one of our meeting rooms and named it the “MG room” after one of our most inspirational employees Quantity Surveyor, Myles Gallagher.

CFM have recently been awarded a contract for refurbishment works to the Falls Road Library, Belfast, on behalf of the Education Authority.

Working alongside our client Antrim and Newtownabbey Bourgh Council, CFM have recently completed pavement upgrade works to the area surrounding the Ballyclare War memorial.
